Through family tree map making, discussion on valuing our history, culture, students created Day of the Dead ancestor skulls in relationship to an ancestor they will honor. A larger altar offering was created with all the skulls as well as objects brought in from each participant that has a signifance to culture and or a specific ancestor.  Ben Rojas guided the process and intentions of building altars, what materials can be used to make altars and the signifiance of the practice today.
